CEWC WOMEN'S WRESTLING PROGRAM

Girls wrestling is currently the fastest growing sport in the nation.  Here at CEWC we have excelled at training successful female wrestlers.

Our Elite Lady Wrestlers are split up by skill level and follow the same practice schedule as the boys.

 WE ARE A TEAM

A while back we were fully prepared to separate girls and boys practices, until...
We asked our female CEWC wrestlers if they wanted a separate girls only practice.
Every single girl that we asked answered "NO".
The explanation most of them had was... "BECAUSE WE ARE A TEAM!."
We do have girls that prefer to wrestle only other girls, and girls that prefer to wrestle both. To which we accommodate and give everyone the training they need!

Here are some examples of how CEWC is the ELITE when it comes to women's wrestling:

THE 21-8 LADY DOLPHINS

CEWC Coach Tom Geist, as the head coach of Northwoods Park MS, with his Lady Dolphin Wrestlers from 2022/23.

All of them had 1 year or less of experience going into the season and they accumulated a combined record of 21-8, with almost all those matches against boys!
This photo also includes the very first female county champion in OCS middle school history, Makayla Clark, who was in the 195 lb weight class.

CEWC now implements a policy based on Coach Geist's ethical guidelines he used while coaching at tNorthwoods Park.  This policy and guideline has proven to protect and empower female wrestlers, while providing them the best training possible in a safe and welcoming environment.

NATIONAL LEVEL COMPETITION

Many of our lady wrestlers have been selected to represent North Carolina on the national stage.  CEWC continues to provide opportunities for young women to compete nationally.    If you are interested in joining the Carolina Elite Girls or Women's National Team, please email info@carolinaelitewrestling.com

ELITE LADIES IN THE TOP 10

NCWAY Top 10 Wrestler rankings

Each club season, CEWC consistently has multiple lady wrestlers ranked in the top 10 in the state according to NCWAY.  They are ages 7 to 17.  Almost all of these girls started their wrestling journey with CEWC and continue to sharpen their skills in our wrestling room.

CEWC has high school freshman and sophomore girls that held a top 10 ranking in the state for the 2025 HS season.  Amongst them are regional & state qualifiers, as well as Fargo National Champion competitors.

The future of Women's wrestling is in the Carolina Elite Wrestling room.

RIGHT TOOLS FOR THE JOB

Freestyle is what women wrestle in college and larger blue chip tournaments like Super 32 and Fargo.  CEWC specializes in Freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling and provides the necessary tools to train at that level. Our coaching staff consists of multiple coaches with international styles experience, including a U.S, World Team Member and the first ever female wrestler to win a state title in a boys division in North Carolina.
